Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) cover your use of haphunt.com (the “Site”), run by HapHunt LLC (“HapHunt,” “we,” or “us”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and HapHunt. If you keep using the Site, you’re agreeing to follow them.

2. Description of the Service

HapHunt is a guide to happy hour deals at restaurants and bars in the cities we cover (the “Service”). We compare happy hour prices to each venue’s regular menu so you can see the discount. Listings are for information only — they’re not an endorsement, a recommendation, or a guarantee.

HapHunt is an information site. We don’t sell alcohol and we don’t take orders or reservations. Wherever you go, the legal drinking age and the venue’s own rules apply.

3. No Warranty; Accuracy of Listings

Happy hour deals, prices, hours, and menus come from third-party venues, and they can change anytime, sometimes with no notice at all. We do our best to keep listings accurate and current, but we don’t control what venues do. Always confirm a deal, price, or hours with the venue before you rely on it.

The Site is provided as is. We don’t guarantee that any listing is accurate, complete or current — always confirm with the venue before you go.

4. Permitted Use

You can use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use. That doesn’t include reselling, sublicensing, or otherwise commercially exploiting the Site or its content, unless we agree to that in writing.

5. Prohibited Conduct; Automated Access

Please don’t:

• scrape, crawl, or otherwise pull data from the Site using bots, scripts, or other automated tools;
• get around rate limits, CAPTCHAs, or other access controls;
• copy or republish Site content without our written permission, or strip out our attribution;
• put an unreasonable load on our systems; or
• use the Site for anything unlawful or that breaks these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property; Database Rights

We select, verify, and organize venue and pricing data into a compiled database (the “Database”). That selection, verification, and organization is our own original work, and it’s protected under copyright and database-rights law. We don’t claim ownership over the underlying facts — a venue’s name, address, or the terms of a public promotion are just facts. Our trademarks, logos, site design, and other content belong to HapHunt or our licensors, and you need our written permission to use them.

7. Editorial Independence

We don’t publish sponsored content, and no venue can pay for better placement or treatment. Every venue is evaluated the same way, based on verified data — not on any business relationship.

8. Submissions and Corrections

You can submit corrections, accuracy reports, menu photos, and similar info (“Submissions”). By submitting, you confirm you have the right to share it, and you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it to verify, correct, and maintain the Database — nothing more. We may decline to use, or may remove, any Submission, including spam or abusive content. Our Privacy Policy covers any personal information in a Submission — see Section 14.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent the law allows, HapHunt isn’t liable for any loss that comes from using the Site, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us to use the Site, which is zero. Some places don’t allow limits like this, so this may not apply to you.

10. Indemnification

If you violate these Terms or misuse the Site, and that causes a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs, including attorneys’ fees.

11. Suspension and Termination

We can suspend or end your access if we reasonably believe you’ve broken these Terms, including the rules in Section 5. We can also pause or shut down the Site at any time, for any reason, without notice.

12. Changes to the Terms

We can update these Terms at any time. We’ll update the date at the top of this page when we do. If you keep using the Site after a change, that means you accept it. If you don’t agree, please stop using the Site.

13. Governing Law; Informal Resolution

These Terms are governed by Washington State law. Before starting any formal legal process, please email us at hello@haphunt.com first — we’d rather work it out directly.

14. Miscellaneous

Privacy. Our Privacy Policy covers how we handle personal information, and it’s part of these Terms.

Everything else.If any part of these Terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. Together with the Privacy Policy, these Terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the Site, and they replace any earlier agreement on the same subject. You can’t transfer these Terms to someone else without our written OK; we can transfer them freely.
